When beavers attack!

Our smallest apple tree was chewed down completely a couple of nights ago. As soon as I can, I need to get out and wrap some hardware cloth around all five four fruit trees on the property.

The second-smallest apple tree has already been nibbled a bit. I hope my castorific friend lets it live until the weekend. I really like that tree.

Beavers to me are still an exotic animal, since they were exteriminated in the area I grew up in. They were working on getting rid of weasels when I was growing up.

Though I understand coyotes have now moved into the area. Which freaks me out.

I'm pretty much where bio is on this one. Bio, it helps if you replace Beaver with Troop of racoons and gnawed with sawed.

*shakes fist* "Racoooons!"
